Happy Friday! I can’t believe April is flying by so quickly. Everyone needs a good baked goods recipe to jump-start the weekend.
It’s silly that this is the first recipe I have posted from my mum’s side of the family, but it won’t be the last. My Nana’s blonde brownies are hard to beat. I’ve tried other blonde brownie recipes from other very trusted sources, but of course, there’s no recipe like Nana’s. Even though I usually prefer brunettes over blondes, I’ll forgo some chocolate for one of my Nana’s blondies any day.
- 2/3 cup Butter, melted and cooled
- 1 lb package Dark Brown Sugar
- 3 Eggs, room temperature
- 3 cups Flour
- 2 1/2 tsp Baking Powder
- 1/2 tsp Salt
- 8 ounces Chocolate Chips
Preheat the oven to 350. Spray a 13×9 pan with Pam and line with parchment paper. In a large bowl combine the butter and brown sugar. Add each of the eggs, one at a time, mixing between each additional egg. Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt, add it to the bowl and mix well. Add the chocolate chips until combined. Spread the batter into your pan and bake for 20-25 minutes until they are golden brown. It never hurts to undercook them just a bit. Let the blondies cool, cut into bars and then eat….all of them.

I actually have not made them for a while, because I will eat all of them, but the recipe is similar to yours!
Oh great! Do you have a recipe that you like most?
Yum, Blondies are my favorite!
Aw! Hop on over to Boston and I’ll be happy to share! Enjoy the time with your family! Hi Sister!
Looking good! Just on holidays showing my little sister the blogs I follow and this pic came up, it’s just before midnight here and we both went…yum…Seriously wish we had a batch right now!
